Day 28 - Antsy Pantsy |
My mind has developed this strange ability to make every negative comment about my injury positive.
For example:
- I can't walk!
+ I can crutch! Wee~~~!
- I can't fence anymore~~!
+ ...on my feet. Wheelchair, here I come!
- I want to compete!!
+ And spend money? Don't you have a vacation you're saving up for???
- I'm going to have to stay in these crutches for an extensive time. (or)
- Aww you poor thing...
+ I'm working on my upper body strength!
+ I get good parking spots!
+ Prescription for Schedule III narcotics...
+ I have crutches! I know how to use them!!!
- Answering that horrid question: "What happened????"
+ Time to work on developing those storytelling skills, because that question gets old fast. Yeah, my "good" stories are much better than the actual story.
- Depending on people to do little tasks for me is so frustrating...
+ That humble pie is pretty good, huh???
Anyways, less than two weeks before my second post-op appointment.
By the way, I registered for the AchillesBlog community. I'm still posting here, because it seems like a waste to update my posts from here to there. But they have this feature where you can keep track of your progress. Here is the link: ATR Recover Marathon. I just find it encouraging to visualize the progress.
