Its been 9 months... |
... since the injury has happened. For the most part, I am walking again. My trip to Asia was wonderful, as I met my family that I had never seen before. And now, I've packed up my bags and moved across the country to attend Grad School.
I have to say that its still a shock that I am actually pursuing this. All the hard work that I've put into getting here has paid off. However, I'm feeling the dreaded "Impostor Syndrome". There is this lingering fear in the back of my head that I don't belong.
If I had gone to Graduate School fresh from college, then perhaps I would exude the same enthusiasm that my fellow first year colleagues radiate. Perhaps I would know every answer and then some about Western Blot techniques. I think as I worked more as a technician, the more I became disenchanted with the "dogma" and began to ignore it. I wanted to come up with my own answers. Ironically, I would need to know the "dogma" in order to start.
Only one week has passed since I've officially started school. I can do better. Just you watch.
I had to run to class today because I didn't want to be late. The Achilles' did not hurt as much, but I realized how out of shape I am. Its good that I'm able to run, but not good that I'm out of shape.
